I am curious about the way I feel concerning the constant reevaluation and profession(s) of "love" or "missing" the other person in relationships. It seems like every time I find myself in a relationship I see the same thing. The female is always saying she loves and misses me. I feel like that is the equivalent of (X) in a mathematical equation. The 1 in front of the X is obviously a given it isn't displayed as (1X) it is (X) because it is the variable and it is a given that unless there is another number before the X it represents one times that variable. So why do females and maybe males in these circumstances continuously say I miss/love you? Surely it is a given? I can only concluded that they are saying it to validate that they matter to someone else. They may actually mean it but that is not why they are saying it. They are saying to get you to say it back. It seems manipulative once realised. And I find it exceptionally annoying. Surely if I have agreed to date you against my better judgement, your constant passive need to be validated in some manipulative, egotistical and illogical manner is a burden. I am a person who values all of my resources. Time, money and anything I do ever is valuable to me. Every time I am reestablishing something that is already established is a waste. If I can not establish in the mind of another person that I love them or miss them, why bother continuing to try? It makes no sense. Everything else I do is established in one way or another with absolutely no need to reconfirm multiple times a day? If you are insecure just say that lol. I just want to know if anyone else see it this way or if I am just a bitter butt hole haha thank you for reading

TLDR: "I miss/I love you" seems like passive self reaffirmation to me more so than the person saying meaning they miss/love you.
