Good. Andrew Jackson was a terrible president, in fact one of the worst. He and several of his successors promoted corruption and the erosion of institutions in favor of populism and cronyism.

He set the political development of the US back by decades. It wasn't until the 1880s that some degree of meritocracy was restored, while professional civil servants had already become the norm in much of Western Europe.

Truthfully, I suspect that it has little to do with honoring Harriet Tubman or anyone else for that matter.

Suppose, for a moment, that in a couple of years Treasury announces that there was a problem with some nefarious forces counterfeiting $20 bills. In fact, going forward, individuals should take their old Hamilton 20s to their local bank and trade them in for the new, improved Tubman 20. Names and addresses would be taken, of course, to ensure whatever. IRS would now have accurate accounting of how much cash is being hoarded and WHO is doing the hoarding. The portrait on the bill is a straw man to get people arguing amongst ourselves and ignoring what might really be going on.

Forgive me for being a cynical conspiracy theorist, but over the years government has forced me to confront these possibilities and always look for an alternative explanation for everything they do.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't exclude the possibility that they really are out to get me.

Well you know, it does seem kind of appropriate that the Woman chosen by the Government to be on the the $20 bill would be a criminal.

Despite being lionized, Harriet Tubman was nothing more than a criminal, stealing the property of others and then transporting it across state lines. Those are criminal offenses now, and at the time she lived.

Tubman either stole, or transported over 300 Chattels belonging to others across state lines. She was in contravention of the Fugitive Slave Act...a law enacted by Congress. She also counseled others to break the law.

It's about right the U.S. Government would want to honor a criminal by putting her on its currency.
