It was when i still had those dating sites up. I had flat out said if youre not interested in starting a family im not interested in you. So one girl replied, we met then she said she was only interested in coparenting. But she said she qas struggling so she would need 4800 a month to get by.

This makes me question how did she get to this point in her life, where she felt comfortable to say this on a first date or early date. Like the level of entitlement, confidence, etc, that would be required is super high.

After i said, i had just gotten through a woman destroying my company i didnt have that kind of money. So im sorry this wouldnt work out. She started screaming 4800 was the minimum and how she could easily get that. Then called to have me fired from my job. I actually did get fired untill my phone went off for over an hour constantly when my boss was ready to hand me my pink slip. I just handed the phone over, and he got to see the train wreck first hand.
Needless to say i got reinstated. And as for her, pretty sure she was mentally ill.

No, I actually got a warning. I admit I'm on the bottom rung of society currently. And at that level you can be replaced easily. So even if the drama is completely fake... its still drama and they would just rather not deal with it. Plus most older men, religious men, and those who havent been at the upper echelons of society dont know what its like now. They havent had woman attempt to use them for money/status. So firings due to woman have been common at the jobs ive been at.

Recent study. Custodial parent (almost always mom) vs non. Factoring 2 kids, she makes 44k and he makes 55k. This is the average for every state in that circumstance.
Edit: this is also factoring the custodial sharing 35% of time

I would compare this average income for each state as well. Then you could find the average percentage paid in each state, that would be interesting. Some of these states appear to have a high child support, but I would be surprised if they have a high average income(in comparison to other states).

Seems accurate. I'm in PA, $700 a month for 50/50 split. I do believe I should pay SOME child support, but I think it's way too high. I feel like I barely have any money to spend on my kids. I think it should be reduced more for 50/50 custody.

Depends on who has primary custody, the amount of overnights, and how much each party makes. I ended up making like 54% of the combined income? So there's some state chart that combines income and says you need to put 2300$ for example towards the kids every month. And somehow I have to pay $700 because of that. I make around 10k more than my ex-wife so the numbers do seem fairly accurate. I've asked her if I can reduce it and she just starts bitching and a list of things she pays for, it's not even worth my time. Could be worse, it just gives me more motivation to be successful and to try and get rich without her.
I agree. 1147 in NE for 2 kids. Its all by wage difference. Don't knock up a low earner. State makes you a slave. Even at 50/50 physical split, I'd pay 500.
Yup, honestly the 2 things that helped me the most in my divorce was that my ex-wife had a decent job and that her family has money and have her a bunch of cash in our joint checking account. It gave me some leverage to use by giving up my half of that cash ( her parents money ). I never wanted any money from her but if she was going to be an unfair cunt I was going to court to ask for half and make a profit.

I think child support should be abolished because I think it causes resentment between the 2 parents. There's nothing that shows that the mother is using that money on the children. I think it should be put into a pre-paid debt card or they should have to submit the receipts to get reimbursements.
I also don't like the idea/logic that you need to make the childs life as even as possible with both parents. Why? So what if the father could afford a NICE house without child support, but forcing him to pay child support makes them both have evenly crappy houses? Whats the logic there?
Also, apparently the woman can file for more child support in the future in some cases? So If I leave an abusive relationship that was holding me back causing me stress and anxiety, then start doing better to make more money, she ends up getting more? It's silly.
Like I said, I don't mind throwing her like $200 every couple weeks for food and stuff if it means my kids eating better quality stuff. But the numbers they use are quite high in my opinion. The worst part is, going to court to fight for reduced payments is very expense.

Well its profitable for them, don't they get a cut of the money? We were able to agree out of court. The lawyers did use the court standard numbers/charts to determine the amount and I was slightly less than what a court might have forced me to pay. So I'm just looking at it as a win and trying my best to make more in the future. Thanks for the replies bro!
