It seems to me, at least as an observation, that body modification of all types and far left politics go hand in hand: dying hair, getting tattoos, piercings of all sorts, and of course genital mutilation in order to delude themselves into thinking their gender has changed.
Not saying it's universal to them, but you can usually pick them out of a crowd by how much of an effort they put into appearing different for difference's sake. It's almost like they don't like who they are, but they put all their energy into the shallow notion of appearance rather than doing the infinitely harder work of making yourself a better person.
Just dye your hair blue, get one of those retarded ear loops that makes you perpetually unhirable, and announce loudly and often how oppressed you are from the computer you own in the upper-middle class house far from any locale you might call a ghetto.
