Females are valuable only for their appearance. They are not very good at doing anything of much use except having children. Whereas men can and do accomplish real tasks. I think this is the reason for the difference in treatment you observed.

My daughter is 11 and has spent most of her life under the influence of her mother. The mother is the epitome of the ideal westernized white woman princess. I love her but it's so hard seeing the woman I hate in her face as she gets older.

She already knows the game and other boys her age don't stand a chance. I've tried correct her behavior but I can tell she's already programmed, or at least beyond the point I can personally affect change on.

It's hard, but I feel like all I can is watch.

They may think they're encouraging a cute girl to become involved in the culture, because we all know female participation is lacking - but yes, you're still correct.

Maybe you'd like to teach her part of the screen printing process, and have her help you with it. Pay her an allowance. She may want to work since she knows she can make some pocket money. Take advantage of this, and turn it into something productive for both of you.

I watched as her smile grew with this diabolical realization of how she could get money...it also helped sell a few tshirts...so hell...i'm glad to finally be getting on the right side of this thing. she got to the point where she tried to just get the money for looking cute and not bagging...which would of worked fine but I made sure her little tail bagged the tees.

Oh I wouldn't bet that you are on the "right side"... what she has now learned is going to cost you dearly (in pain & suffering as well as possibly cash) a few years down the line.

BTW, about the boy; men actually used to tip young boys and acknowledge/encourage them as being a "sharp lad", etc; but of course that has been turned into a virtual taboo, no doubt in large part because of "pedophile panic".

I have seen/observed women go overboard to tip "boys" (actually athletic teens or early-twenty-something guys, typically waiters), and there is (ironically enough) definitely a "sexual" attraction or undertone there (you sometimes even hear comments after the kid departs like "cute buns"). Yet that is apparently considered acceptable... go figure.

we...men...males...we told her how to get paid. by just being a woman. we have told her she is entitled. until men stop this...at the seed level...it is not going to change.

As to your overall point... yes Daddy (and other men) treating their daughters as "little princess" is exactly what teaches them grow up into attention seeking whores who place the emphasis on their appearance and "tricking" men into tossing them money. Of course media -- what this guy called the "Princess Industrial Complex". -- also plays a huge role in this teaching process.

Can we combat it? Sure... you could.

For starters you could quit trying to "take advantage of it" to sell tshirts -- basically you're feeding right into it (and apparently in a bigger way than you think).

You could also dig up and read her some OLD "Fairy Tales" -- things like "King Thrushbeard" and other "Taming the Shrew [Wife]" tales -- ones that took & taught a DIM & DISPARAGING view of the "spoiled/entitled princess" rather than the modern "entitled attention whore" Disney crap.

And you could also change YOUR actions elsewhere and with others. I actually try to make a point to specifically and intentionally NOT tip (or under-tip) the "pretty" girls (which tends to be easier than you think because they tend to give SHITTY service), and instead try to reward the plain/ugly ones and/or the male waiters... and I leave a little note that says "for excellent SERVICE... you did a good JOB".

I'm sure it's a drop in the bucket compared to all of the (especially old-guys) who fawn & gush over "cute-little-princesses"... but maybe... in time...
