No, it's not misogyny central as the rest of reddit assumes it to be. Yes, there's non-stop bashing of women here but one has to delve deeper.

It's not an organized activist group or movement to brainwash men to stay away from love, marriage et al.

What is it, then?

It is a sub which tells men - men who face a bleak chance of getting on the other side of the modern dating pool with their self-respect intact, men whose feelings never mattered to anyone, men who are torn apart in the family courts.

that it's okay to be selfish. To start putting themselves first before anyone else. And doesn't have to be guilty about it; for that's how the rest of the world is. For many of us, this is an unbelievable thing: a gynocentric system/society had brought us up by looking for validations from women. You existed when whatever you did pleased them, else you do not.

Women aren't worth anymore: fighting for, working your living daylights to provide for. They have become like that drug addict whose brains had surpassed all limits of every hard drug available. It's one thing to keep fighting even if you know you can't win; but wrt women, there's no dignity in that fight. The modern Sisyphus has to find some other obstacle to push up the mountain.

Obviously, a society that had survived through slavery will be very concerned when the slave starts talking about his rights. Hence the shaming.

Read beyond their words, it's not them; it's the society's working rules. Smile, agree/distort/change the course of the conversation, and go back to doing what YOU want to do.
