So here the problem... assuming AWALT, say worse come to worse and I have to get divorced in so many years, I've likely been able to attempt business ventures that I wouldn't have been able to as a single male (lack of $ and time). If I can make the benefits of the relationship outweigh any possible negatives, is this acceptable?

Maybe. If she makes more than you, she's on the hook for money, not you, unless a divorce-court judge is an asshole.

I suggest remembering everything that made you the person you are today.

Did girls like you in the past? If yes, is she any different from the past girls? Do you have enough samples to draw a reasonable conclusion? Can you safely say that she will be the same way for a long time, even if you took away what material and resources you own?

If not, then what changed between now and then? Does that change affect her agenda and how she's treating you? If you took that change away, how would she treat you then? For instance, if you're the same person with the same interest as you were 10 years ago and the only change is that you're rich, then its pretty obvious that girls only want you for your money. If you took away that money, could you guarantee that she would stay with you?

Also, remember everything you cherish and value before her. Your hobbies, your friends, etc. Are you willing to give that up for potentially no reward? That is, you might end up spending more time trying to chase her and get her approval when she won't reciprocate. You might be stuck in blue pill land somewhere along the way and when you come back out of it, you'll find you've thrown away everything and have to rebuild your life back up. If you're unwilling to do that, do not take the plunge.

Finally, think about what your future will be. If you stay the current path, where will you be 5-10 years down the road? Because if you keep constantly self improving, you will be there. Women take away that and encourage you to become complacent just so they can feel better about how they're a shitty human being. That complacency will drag you down and it will take you years to recover. If you're willing to risk losing 5-10 years of your life, go for it.
