I'm old school, from the 80's. The 60% on left side of the Bell curve for SMV (the least good looking, unwitty or unpopular) operated waaay in the background back then. They were either loners who went straight home after school or had their own geeky dork cliques that you really never had to see or deal with on any level.

The reality is, they really didn't have any clout back then, no real voice - at least in the public domain where anybody cared, even teachers and coaches would brush them aside. Fine.

Now, all this vomit (from mostly these type of social rejects) is posted on message boards (assbook, snapclit) and goes "viral", and is forced into the public consciousness. Everybody has to deal with it. The faculty, government, the people, everybody.

This whole soupy perverted mess of nerd betas and the 375 lb. bitches they are competing for, who by the way all have hyper-insecure and hateful dispositions to begin with, are sounding-off like trumpets and we get to see it.

The Breakfast Club just popped into my head. This was a group of kids, each representing a class or type of individual. It's too old of a movie to spoil, so I'll just say this was a good representation of pre-internet dynamics. The "cool" kids and athletes, dopers, dark eccentric types, nerds, the prom queens, they were extremely siloed then. That's how it was, and we liked it. Seems like the movie highlighted this in a negative fashion, though. Like there was something wrong with it, and that none of them were privy to the "plights" of the others, so they were all upset and fighting with each other, blurting out all their issues stemming from this unspoken social construct. Then of course they pair-up at the end, breaking those constructs. Good movie, but that part was hard to believe would ever happen in real life.

I like they had to come up with the term "ghosting" now that this shit happens to women. I spent most of my 20's being "ghosted" by women not returning my phone calls. As a man, you just accept it and move on with your life. Women can't mentally and emotionally handle their own medicine.

I find it funny how these women are clueless and cannot seem to join the dots as to why men are just not interested in them anymore.
They have no idea of how pissed off men are with them and their shit because they lack the ability to think outside of their own head and do not see the gynocentric biased that has pushed men to do this.
We are walking away in droves and it cannot be stopped.
It's a gender juggernaut laying waste to everything in its path.

They are done with you whether it was "sex" free dinner ect. They got what they wanted. Now if they were a regular human being caring about feelings of others, hey not interested thanks for hanging out.

But they get off on wielding that power so instead of letting you know things are done. They want to watch you panic and prove you want them.

Oddly enough the reverse ghosting works, if you NEVER call them again. And show zero interest in doing it again. Their ego will force them to call you try to get you to want them so they can ghost you and get desired reaction.
