The thing is that my girlfriend and I have had an open relationship for almost a year, the first problem was that she could get any guy she wanted while I ended up not hooking up with anybody. It’s also worth mentioning that we’re in a long-distance relationship.

After a few months, she got tired of doing hookups and told me that she wanted a FWB. I was cool with the idea since hooking up with strangers was damaging her. She decided to seduce her best friend and see if it leads to something. She was successful and this is where the trouble came in.

We had a set of rules: she has to tell me when she’s going to have sex with somebody, she can send me videos of doing it with another guy since I like that kind of stuff, always use condoms, and to not get emotionally attached.

She broke all of those rules.

She only told me when they were going to do it the first time she did it with him, she ended up only telling me after they did it. She never sent any videos because “he is not comfortable with that”, which I think is bullshit since he has no problem fucking somebody else’s girlfriend. She stopped using condoms without telling me first, I only knew about this because she joked about having a baby with him (she takes birth control). And, as you probably guessed, she started to basically have a relationship with him while neglecting me.

She would ignore me for hours when she was with him, she started to tell me what she did with him after it was done, she started to treat me in a meaner way, and stopped telling me things about her life and emotions while telling him everything.

We were able to spend a lot of time together after being separated for a few weeks; I saw that she would answer his texts immediately even if I was talking to her, and her mean demeanor towards me continued.

I told her that I felt like she didn’t love me anymore, what she answered was that she saw me as an emotional weight on her due to the distance… and because of the problems she was having, she only felt happy when she was with her FWB.

Imagine that: being told that you aren’t able to make your girlfriend happy while another guy that is fucking her is the one that can do it. Things were good for a while until she said something about having sex in public because she “wanted the excitement of when we started being together”. I don’t even like to do PDA and she knows this, I also felt that she wanted the excitement of something new because that’s what she had with her FWB.

I confronted her about this and told her that I felt like she cheated on me. She told me that that wasn’t the case, that she felt like she couldn’t tell me anything because I had my own things to worry about. She just assumed all of this, I had a long summer break from school because I got physical reactions due to stress from school; I spent plenty of time not doing anything or worrying about something. I just think that she didn’t want to tell me anything just because.

My girlfriend and I had a huge fight over this, after we calmed down, I told her that she had to stop giving benefits to his friend. She told to me stop having an open relationship, I responded by saying that it was bullshit because she already had her fun until it backlashed while I didn’t get to enjoy anything. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, she was crying profusely. Saying stuff like she never wanted things to get like this, that her friendship with her FWB will be over after she tells him what happened,and that she wanted to hurt herself to feel the pain that she caused me. I ended up comforting her, like I always do after I tell her how I feel.

We’re better now and I told her that she could continue to have her arrangement with her friend, she told me that she would think about; she let him grope her ass a few days later so she already knew what she wanted from the start. She already told me that they wouldn’t resist having sex with each other if they broke the arrangement, so I already knew that this would happen.

It is also worth mentioning that it’s not the first time this has happened. At the start of the relationship, she was very mean to me in front of her friends and decided to tell everything about her life and emotions to a guy that I truly didn’t like.

She still wants me to hook up with another girl, but I’ll be leaving her again soon and I don’t know what will happen. I want and can trust her again, but I don’t know if she’ll do the same thing again.
