Keep in mind that I'm not saying that EVERY guy who would get some "gift" for his girlfriend/fiancee's daughter is a pedophile...

BUT...

It's far from uncommon for actual pedophiles to gain "access" to kids (and to "groom" the kids) via stuff pretty much exactly like this (whether the mom IS or is NOT aware*).

* Because, as sick as it may be, some women DO go there, they willingly "whore out" their own children in order to gain access to money/resources from some guy. (Hell, the film that #MeToo bitch, Asia Argento produced/directed/starred in -- and met her "sexy little boy" castmate {molestation victim} Jimmy Bennett -- titled "The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things" featured that EXACT kind of "woman who whores out her own kid" thing as the MAIN character/plot.)
