Originally it was the place of religion to help limit this world breaking behavior. However as a culture expands and takes outsiders in who refuse to assimilate, they inevitably embrace multicultural ideas and embrace numerous religions. This invites aetheists, and then hedonism and an explosion of things like trans, identity politics, Super feminists with blue hair, tats, and piercings, etc.

All of this breaks down a culture where there is no hope of redemption.
