I work a $16/hr job (full time) and can afford a $1k apartment. Single and happy. Everyone asks me why i dont have a girlfriend and i tell them i simply dont want one. The average response to my rent cost is “wow thas alot” (its not lol) After bills im left with $1200 per month to spend however i want. I can cook whatever i want anytime of the day. I can try new restaurants and i can pick whatever one i want without a second opinion. I can go fishing whenever. If i want to move to a new neighborhood/state, no problem! I dont have to fight over the tv or when its time to stop playing ps4. I can leave the toilet seat up for a quicker pee. Its not much but i cherish this freedom. They say money cant buy happiness but having this money to my self somehow makes me more happy than sharing it with a gf. That says something about the modern woman.
