Online “dating” edition:

We all know when you’re in a relationship it starts with you having to court her, to have your shit together, to woo her all that nonsense.

This is even true on loosely made for dating apps that are really more for hookups like Tinder. I rejoined Tinder recently after a long break, two years to be specific, to see what the landscape looks like.

So far this week of returning to Tinder I have about 20 matches, some of them I’ve been matched with for 5-6 days. No matter what, none of them have sent me a message to start a conversation. I only swipe right on women I believe to be a 7 or higher on the looks scale. I think it’s pretty clear that they feel that you should chase them, even if they look at you like you’re a 10/10 they’re still going to want you to message first, it has to be the dude I guess.

All of their profiles clarify they have nothing to offer but their body, but you still need to chase and pursue them, it’s just so interesting.

Anyways, just thought it was worth noting, I don’t think any of these women are ever gonna send a message. Contrasting this with Tinder the first time I used it 3-4 years ago 50% of the time girls messaged first, did their narcissism and laziness increase even more in between now and then? Wait why am I even asking that ;)

Have fun gentlemen, do what you like I found this experiment pretty fun. I’ll message the hottest ones and see if I can get laid with minimal effort as usual, that’s about all these vapid husks are worth on this app.
