Was hanging out with friends last week for dinner.

One guy (a really extrovert guy) just decided to casually make fun of my single life (he has plenty of long relationships in the past, but he is single now too).

He talked to me across the table for all to hear, 'hey dude are you going to be single forever and be a monk? Isn't that so lonely and depressing?'

I said, 'I think its better than wasting 7-8 years of my life and money in a relationship and get dumped, I will kill myself if I were you man.'

He mostly kept to himself that night after that.
