I've had Instagram in the past, and it doesn't seem to do anything at all. I simply added my friends to it, made a profile and that was it. All the people who DMed me on there seemed to be from 100s of miles away, and I never met anyone I talked to on there.

So what I'm trying to figure out is, is Instagram and other apps like it, just to boost the egos of girls? Since it just seems like girls want to collect followers on there. And even if someone adds their snapchat name or whatever to their profile, they never add you back or they block you. It seems like a completely pointless website for meeting new people.
