This is by no means the concise definition of MGTOW, but instead, it's one perspective and IMHO a very nice way to look at things.

Regarding MGTOW I just have this to say, firstly the world loves wasting time. I imagine this is nothing new people are simply masters at wasting time.

Have you ever been dragged along to visit relatives only wishing you didn't have to go to this stupid shit, and couldn't wait to get home to play that video game? Yet you had to go, you were forced. You had to sit there all polite and display your best manners, and in the long run where are these family members now? Most likely you've only ever seen them a few times in your life and if you could get the time back you would still rather have been playing that Nintendo game.

Regardless of what your stance is towards women (or what you believe will lead to a failed relationship), I'm talking here in a general sense there are a lot of things out there designed just to suck away your time and not even give you any pleasure in return - Such as in the nintendo example.

Watching the news or "being involved" in politics. Really? When last did you get to vote on something that actually affected you personally? I'm the the EU, when regulations here get passed, no one comes to my door and asks me if it's ok. Politics is extremely passive. If you think voting YES or No or voting for Candidate A or B, gives you a choice you are deluded. It's a fucking sham, and yet people waste years of their life following this shit. Believing they actually have a voice.

Activism, in general, is a waste of time BUT especially social justice kind. I'm also here including Meninism or MGTOW 1.

Let me remind you, you only get one life and YOU ARE the one in control. If your life is so worthless that you want to donate it to some useless cause for undeserving people who don't want to hear you out anyways - That's fine, but that's not what MGTOW means to me.

MGTOW is about identifying these time wasters and steering clear.

It's a hard cold critical look at this thing called the status quo, or what's going on in the world. Having some morbid curiosity is fine, being emotionally invested in it isn't.

Most people never manage to escape this layer or crust of scum that surrounds us and sucks up all our time. People are masters of wasting time. Just go to most corporate social events, look at what people are talking about. Mostly about total horse shit, and yet they sign up for this shit because they just love wasting time.

Since I escaped this layer my life is vastly simplified. I am now proud to know as few people as possible. What was once a source of pain is now my biggest strength. All people do is complicate your life with their own useless dramas and agendas. And once they're bored of you, or have used you, they'll throw you to the dogs.

Since I'm out of that dramatic social scene, and since I do not drink and sign up for a weekly bout of bullshittery, I have much more time.

I'm investing that time in learning the art of classical guitaring. I don't play for anyone, and I have no interest in entertaining people. I do it only for myself and nothing gives me more satisfaction.

So to sum it up. MGTOW is really about escaping the horde of time wasting bullshit out there.
