I’ll try to keep it brief but I hope it serves as a warning to any young man starting a business. Us older guys have seen this a million times.

I was recently helping a friend of mine get his tire /auto shop up and going. I consult on these types of things. He had just bought a franchise. It was going fantastic he was up to $250 k a month in less than a year! Anyone who knows the tire business this is great. He was doing all the right things. Working long hours but becoming successful as hell and quick!

Long story short he meets this girl. I see her get out of her piece of shit car one day in Some short ass shorts all dolled up. The red pill part of me knew as soon as I saw it she was a piece of shit looking to latch on to the money. 3 months later she’s driving a new car (he bought). Guy starts slacking at work. 2 more months go by and he’s selling the business because he wants to spend more time with her and the business is hard and time consuming.

Next few months you see Instagram from all over the world, beaches, shopping, blah blah blah

Less than 6 months after selling it he’s working as a manager at a gas station. She’s gone. Took the car. Probably spent half of what he had on her if not more. Last time I spoke to him you could hear the guilt and he sounded almost suicidal.

Now the new owners which kept me around for another year are up to $300k average and making tons of money in something he built.
