Disclosure is on HBO right now. I was in seventh grade when this movie came out. I didn't see the movie, but I was in Michael Crichton fan so I had read the book. I remember one of my teachers talking about it in class. It was a big deal at the time, because but you never heard about women sexually harassing men. It was based on a true story, so I think that's why we were discussing it in class.

I remember the teacher down playing it. They said "it's so rare that women sexually harass men that they need to make a Hollywood movie about it." I can't remember if the teacher was a man or a woman, but I think it was a dude.

I believed his bullshit at the time, though it didn't feel right. The teacher is a trusted source of information, after all... Of course, today I know that's not the case.

Sexual harassment happens just as much in that direction, it just isn't reported. And when it is reported it's dismissed by assholes like my teacher.

Years later I was lucky enough to experience exactly what it's like when a woman in a position of power sexually harasses you. It's exactly like everyone says. No one believes you, and if they do they really don't give a fuck. Don't bother telling your wife or your girlfriend about it, either. They will immediately lose all respect for you. It only adds insult to injury.

Anyway, it's a good flick. I'm watching it now. Give it a go if you haven't seen it. It's an important topic, and it's a tough one to bring up.
