I have to wonder if the only reason she was prosecuted was because she was dumb enough to falsely accuse the police as well depending on the local attitude police officers have shown an incredible amount of bias towards false accusers.

I'll take this as a win though and not look a gift horse in the mouth, this is how it should be done. If the man is proven innocent then yes let him go and yes if there is enough proof allow for the prosecution of a false accuser and treat it as a separate crime.

It's amazing there are people who will actually take issue with this, we're not talking some ambiguous situation where a false accusers is being prosecuted without due process or any evidence. They're actual criminals and when you take their side you are defending criminals.

A lot of feminists get up in arms about this. I don't think an accuser should be brought to trial for bringing a rape charge against someone just because the accused is found not guilty. However, when there is clear evidence of malicious intent, deception, and fraudulence, then absolutely there must be accountability. Women need to be held accountable for their deliberate and malicious attempts to permanently smear a man's reputation. This is toxic femininity, this is the dark shadow of #Metoo.
