I will be joining a protest March for father's rights in Edinburgh on father's day. Should be quite well attended. The fathers rights movement is gaining traction here in the UK with protests outside courtrooms becoming a weekly routine. Search Facebook for dads against double standards d.a.d.s/c.a.p.a.

I protested outside Glasgow sherriffs court a few weeks ago.

A small thing the fathers can do on Facebook on the day - recognize and tag by name all the strong fathers who have been around during your life, working their fingers to the bone to provide for their kids and family. They might be your own father, your uncles, your brothers, your grandfathers, your friends, your heroes. Get the message out there. Highlight them by by occupations if need be. Tag tag tag.

While I support the spirit, I am not going to be helping. Father's day is when I get drunk and cry about how my dad never loved me. Half kidding.
