At someone that has worked for Google: they don't discriminate in any meaningful amounts between genders. Salary is non-negotiable up-front. Raises are standardized. Some people may drop behind or rise a little, but it wasn't bad.

Now, do they discriminate while hiring? Yes. Minorities and women are definitely preferred. White men at the facility I worked at were only engineers and assemblers. And even then, it was likely only because they couldn't find enough qualified people to phase us out.

No disrespect to anyone, though. I worked with a lot of awesome people there, but the discrimination was obvious.

Although this is a good post, the title does not say enough about its subject. This forces people to click and read before they can decide whether they are interested. It also makes searching impossible.

If everyone did this, the subreddit would become unusable.

So please don't do it in future. Take the time to describe your link, and save the time of hundreds of other people.

When making a title, it's best to assume the reader doesn't know what you're talking about - but don't go overboard with every detail. Then check if there are any words you can cut out without losing any important information.
