I am undertaking mandatory training for policies in my workplace, they require I learn about family violence. However I felt quite uneasy that the training documentation was primarily about women in family violence with the only mention to men being that of "insignificant in comparison of reported cases" All mention of violence against a family member was based on women. There was no further training surrounding male victims. Sad to say this training was sponsored by my state government.

Now I understand that family is an issue and I do think men who abuse women are absolute pricks. However, for equality to happen, this topic should be approached from a more general matter.
