Yeah, this has been covered a few times on this sub. My main issue with it is that Monopoly was never a gendered game. It was completely the same for everyone and everyone was allowed to strategize to become a rich, rich person. Now, to celebrate “women’s empowerment” what else would they do but give women the advantage. Why does that make any sense? That’s like if we took a game like Chutes (or Snakes) and Ladders and decided that for International Men’s Day we would celebrate men’s empowerment and allow men to add or take away one from their spin. It’s beyond stupid.
