Hi all,

I recently posted on a different subreddit about this but I'm the subject of false rumors being spread around my university campus. This had occurred about one year ago but is now being brought up again.

Either a group of girls or one girl from my dorm hall last year are alleging that I had monitored them and followed them into all-gender bathrooms in the building, neither true (provable is a different problem) The issue here is that these girls are of significant social popularity as well (sorority girls for instance)

The university's official discrimination program got involved and did a preliminary review of the reports, resulting in nothing disciplinary. I got an email back from them detailing the allegations and they claimed that no investigation would occur at that time. However, my social circles and clubs have caught wind of this and have ostracized me from the groups. Even then, I'm hearing different accounts from a bunch of people with some small details changed here and there.

I have been gathering evidence on interactions and policies and I got some information to make a case but I don't know if it is enough, especially considering that good portion of it is just verbal. Student support staff that I've talked with suggested filing a defamation case if possible but I don't have the funding for that and I'm still haunted with the possibility that there isn't enough evidence to prove anything.

Any advice would help. Thanks
