I was assigned a speech for a public speaking class, where I had to take up one social injustice I felt strongly about and recommend a solution.

Topic: Rising incidences of false rape accusations in India

Claim: I ask you to consider the implementation of a media gag order with regards to ongoing rape cases in criminal courts, with penalties for disregard of the rule.

My professor approved of it, and she said it was totally fine to narrow it down to an Indian context if I felt like doing so, or approach it from a broader, more worldwide perspective. For either, I'm looking for sources from where I can gather data, but I'm unable to find sources that can be considered 'appropriate' in the sense of universities (meaning as in research journals or major news sources). If anyone could recommend some sources for me, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you

(Also the wording of the claim might be a bit confusing. It basically asks for the protection of the identity of the accused in cases of rape where a ruling has not been reached)
