I was at the Doctors office for a routine check-up and just like always the nurse was asking a few pre-exam questions. I was shocked when she asked if I "felt safe at home or work from sexual or domestic abuse." It was so refreshing to be asked in such a way that I felt I would be helped if I answered affirmatively. Way to go Kaiser for taking steps in the right direction.
