Idk if I'm in the right sub, but here goes. I have a 5 month old daughter with my girlfriend of two years. My girlfriend and my daughter leave my house at about 9am every morning, and return at 7pm. I work nights, go in at 430pm and come home at 4am. She works from 11am to 10pm on weekends, leaving our daughter with me. She collects state money for our daughter, plus for her 3 yr old son from a different father. I received a paper in the mail stating I must contact social services for a meeting about child support. Says if I do not contact, a court order will be put in. Told her, she says oh I guess I have to take daughter off child support. Do I have anything to worry about? Will I have to pay ? edit: she is going to state building tomorrow to remove our daughter from state assistance. If it comes to it, I will take your advice, lawyer up, and go to meeting. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
