Location-California. Current first year graduate student being faced with a non-legal Title IX violation or student misconduct. Simply put, a girl who recently dropped out has accused me of a hostile work environment with no specific or egregious instances I can remember. Honestly, it seems, at least to me, like her position is entirely undefendable. My questions are as follows: I have a meeting with the Title IX investigator on Friday. Should I retain a lawyer beforehand? Should he/she accompany me to the meeting or work from behind the curtains?
