Hello, I've created a throwaway account as this problem is a little more personal but I've been following since last July on another account.

•How old are you and how familiar are you with RPW? 24, I discovered RPW last summer and realised it's what I've been needing/believe in and I'm still working on improving myself. Still very much learning.

•What is your relationship status? I'm single and I have been for six years. Last relationship was nearly 5 years.

•What is the problem? (Don’t badmouth your SO!) I'm starting to feel broody and feeling the need to start finding someone to settle down with. I'm approaching 25 and a lot of my friends are in LTR's and some are married. My first/last relationship was nearly 5 years and ended abruptly. We waited to have sex, had sex, and a month later he left me without proper closure so that was traumatising. It took me a long long time to get over it, maybe too long but now I feel like I'm ready for another relationship. I would love to be settled, happily married and trying for a baby around 30. Problem is, that's 5 years away and I don't know if I could do all that in 5 years after what happened at the end of 5 years in the last relationship. But maybe I'm more mature now. The other problem is, I'm just finishing second year of university and will be away in another country working for six months so I feel that's stalling progress as well (unless I meet someone while there). I don't know whether to forget dating and concentrate on university to get a good degree or give in to my ticking biological clock and dedicate some time to start looking for a man. Also, because I'm a 'mature' student, I'm 4 years older than my cohort so it's not conducive to go looking there, unless it's the lecturers.

•How have you contributed to the problem? I set up an account on a dating site and I'm afraid to act on offers. I don't think it's the right time to do it. My trust and social skills are lacking also.

•How long has this been an issue? A year, maybe two.

•What have you done to resolve this problem? I don't know, I set up an account on a dating site and I think it might have been a mistake as I will be leaving the country soon. I think I should dedicate my time towards my studies but I will be approaching 27 by the time I finish, by then I really will be feeling the clock ticking. But I also feel that I should practise going out and meeting men and finding out what I want? I'm afraid of that 'practise' turning into a relationship and my grades drop.

Monk mode? Balance between dating and study? Wait until after uni? Any advice would be great and I'm open to questions, thanks!
