Hi! I'm new too. Yay newbies!

Dude, don't worry (at least so deeply, are the members of this subreddit so intent on fitness they would exclude you???) about being on the chubby side. I am saying this from a personal perspective, of course. But also.... SCIENCE! I've seen many a study of sexual preference in men, and apparently the only really essential criteria of sexiness is a high hip to waist ratio, and weight actually factored in very low in and of itself to the detriment of attractiveness. Also, a woman of slight frame can work the chubby thing far more effectively then a larger framed woman, because she can still maintain a appearance of "smallness" even with the extra weight. In short- curves are sexy as hell, but they gotta be in the right places. If your hubby is happy, you're prolly fine and likely distribute weight in a houseglass or pear way. Lots of men are happy to trade skinny for boobs and ass. LOTS. (of course, I would assume that the other forum members might bring up the possibility that he is too blue-pill/beta to be truthful about his actual feelings. Guys do have a tendency to lie to avoid conflicts with women, and weight is one of the most conflict-triggering things humanly possible in a relationship.)

In terms of fitness and it's importance, though, a fit woman is elevated in value to the generic American male mostly because of cultural-specific values that place a strong emphasis/value on the appearance of health and youth. If a guy cares in any meaningful way about presenting a greater air of personal value, one of the easiest ways to do that is to have one of the "highest" value mates on his arm to demonstrate that.

Conversely, I think part of the red pill ideology is that maintaining low-value appearance (overly casual, overweight, etc) hurts the self esteem/value of the male partner by showing his inability to achieve a valuable partner. In addition to diminishing his sexual enjoyment by being sexually unappealing. All of which is not only unfair to him, but also hurts the chances of keeping the relationship going in the long term.

But as long as you balance out your well-proportioned weight with other efforts to be physically appealing (cute outfits, attractive hairstyle, makeup), there is little issue to raise. IMO.

I myself definitely disagree with feminism in a very intense way, but I consider myself egalitarian, but I've never really had many discussions with egalitarian women... If they are shaming a woman for being feminine, they are clearly just a feminist in disguise. And clearly completely working against the idea of what egalitarianism stands for. And just plain suck. ;)

You are 22.

Will he still not care that you don't take care of yourself when you are 30? 40?

Is he letting himself go as well? Is that going to be attractive to you forever?

Fitness is not something that just exists for society.

Don't believe it when men tell you that something which is part of their nature is not part of that what they really want.
