I've had the pleasure of being friends with someone I'd consider an Alpha Buddha(youtube: Corey Worthington), and despite thinking I'd learned most of the tricks, since discovering TRP two years ago, this individual has taught me some valuable lessons, one of which I haven't seen mentioned on TRP: the nickname.
I can't remember my friend's real name any more. I'd bet most of his friends don't know his real name. He's refered to as, and introduces himself as such, the name of a large mammal.
The Alpha Buddha had asked me to invite one of my lady coworkers to one of his house parties. I'd walked in on him pulling her number a month or two back, and he'd lost the number at some point.
"Hey, we're having a party at (AB)'s house Friday. You down?"
Sure!
I opened his contact info on my phone and pointed it at her, "this is (AB)'s new number--get the info from him."
what's his name?
"(Large mammal)"
no, I know that's what you call him, but what's his real name?
"I don't remember anymore. Everyone calls him (large mammal)."
She shrugged, said his nickname slowly, with a giggle, and scampered off back to work. The next day, she came up to me, giddy like a school girl, throwing mad IOIs, asking questions about (large mammal). The nickname had cooked in her head over night; she hadn't even texted him yet. His name's game is so strong that he does this to 7s via proxxy.
After that, it made me realize the strength of a flattering nickname paired with impeccable frame, and it made me think of that VH1 PUA dude, Mystery. I dont know anything about Mystery, but I guess he discovered, too, the power of a good nickname, though, his is a bit cheesy.
