So you're a natural leader. Someone who stands out in a positive manner, whenever, wherever, always. The one people go to when everything goes South.

Here's a list of advices from the knowledge and experience of someone who has been always standing out, both in a positive and a negative manner. Take them or leave them.

  1. You won't be the "top dog" in every group of your life. Deal with it.

  2. AMOGing the one in charge in many of your social groups is a bad idea. The guy is there for a reason. Being in charge in groups that you're not as good as this guy when it comes to the expected qualifications will have a negative impact in the whole group, and you'll be the one to blame, thus damaging your reputation. If you want to hook up with one of the women in the group then it's much better to setup a meeting with just the three of you if possible. If the guy is cool he might even end up as the wingman.

  3. Standing out too much and not leading a group usually means that you're on the other end of the social ladder. This is disastrous, especially if you stand out naturally. If you don't want to, or can't be in charge then it's possible to be no2 if you work on it, otherwise game your way a bit into blending in while not being the one stepped on (imagine what non naturals do to get laid, you do it to not get laid).

  4. When in charge of a group, or in the process of becoming the one in charge, diffuse all AMOGing attempts, not just for your sake, for the whole group. Breaking frame even once can be disastrous. Guy goes touchy-feely? Get his hand off you while you touch back. He puts his other hand or both hands on you? Push him back and claim his territory. If this escalates either go all the way or back off as you see fit. Diffuse verbal AMOGing attempts as you see fit. Agree and amplify, ammused mastery, lack of interest, ignore whatever said, call the guy out, etc. Guys exclude you? Do not fight back, set your own frame. YOU are the one ignoring them and doing something more interesting... Alone... The females will see that and join in.

  5. When you plan to stay in a group you lead then make the stay pleasant, for you and the rest. Do not make the gathering toxic. Treat everyone equally, reward and punish based on actions and behaviors of every member of the group, you included. Display integrity. Do not have monopoly on the women of the group, this is a recipe for disaster. Pass women around as you see fit. Keep toxic people away from the group, help the ones in need, welcome new members as you see fit. Display your dominance as required, misplaced comments and physical contact is NOT a good way to do it.

  6. Sometimes a more qualified person will eventually AMOG you. Not much you can do. Best course of action is to concentrate your everything into what matters most to you in the situation, be it a specific woman, or a job that needs to be done, or keeping everyone happy, etc.

  7. When exhausted and when illness strikes you, physically or mentally, keep away from groups where you have value until you get back on your feet. People outside (and even inside) these groups will see your state and tool you, play you, step on you in order to gain value in these groups... and you'll be unable to do anything. They'll destroy you both socially and mentally, and maybe even physically. Even worse, those people are usually egocentric, toxic individuals that will eventually destroy the whole group. Keep in touch with the people of your groups in a personal manner. Stay away from public spaces and keep the company small, 1 on 1 being ideal.
