TL;DR Red Pill truth regarding Alpha Fucks/Beta Bucks is dispensed in Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg film The Other Guys

The Other Guys (2010) was on last night, a film that takes a satirical look at cop buddy movies, whilst also being a big budget cop buddy movie itself. A reoccurring joke throughout the film is hot women's attraction to Will Ferrell's character despite him being straight laced, boring and well, looking like Will Ferrell. He is ignorant of the 'gina tingles, and constantly makes excuses for his 'plain' wife (Eva Mendez!), often in front of her.

The scene that really stood out from a Red Pill perspective is when the Ferrell and Wahlberg go to one of Ferrell's ex's to acquire evidence in a case. Despite being split up for over a decade she is still hung up on Ferrell, something her husband is very aware of. The couple appear to be affluent, no doubt because of the providership of the husband. Being a comedy all the characters are taken to their extremes but it still provides a rare glimpse of Red Pill truth that is all but lacking in current mainstream films. I wonder how many beta bucks husbands inwardly cringed when watching it.
