Your animal brain is instinctively wired to identify an alpha within 4 seconds of seeing him. You instinctively sense one thing: the certain knowledge that this guy could (on a whim) kill you in one punch, and he would have zero remorse for doing so. That is the definition of alpha. Looks don't matter, clothes don't matter, the things he says don't matter, the amount of money he has doesn't effect the animal instinct 'alpha'.

In caveman days there was no 'beta bucks', there was no 'I'm waiting for the 3rd date' bullshit. There were no laws to protect beta's resources and women's vagina's. The strongest alphas took whatever they wanted.

Certainly social status matters too, in the sense that the more status you have the more people you have on your side when it comes down to kill or be killed. And the bigger the tribe that you're in control of, the more resources/women you have by extension.

Alpha = strong, remorseless killer, warlord
