I wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on this alpha vs. beta article:

Never mind that this guy looks like an extra from Breaking Bad. My biggest question comes from the point he makes that if the dime you have locked down is approached by another alpha, you should make a cute remark and go for your next target. If this is a non-dating context and this girl is the hottest piece in the room would it not be beta to relent to your adversary and go for second prize? As king of the jungle, isn't it key that we assert our dominance over the room, not just the target? I am not saying to make this girl feel special or desired, only that you stand tall and let other men know that you are not to be approached when locking in.

Having said that, I am knew to this subreddit and curious to hear where TRP ideology stands on this subject.
