The problem is that most people come to the wrong conclusion even after they realize the double standard. The reaction is something like "men can be raped too" and implictly we also need to protect men from normal harmless sexual situations. Very few people say things like:

It was clearly not rape when the man was "taken advantage of" so maybe it is also not rape with the genders switched.

The problem is not is we are too sexual "protective" of girls not that we are doing too little to protect boys from sex (yes bad things happen but they are rare not systematic).

hmm, i never realized how often rape of males is portrayed humorously. i'm off to SRS to see how the idiot fempire is rationalizing that rape of males is ok.

I noticed this in the film This Is The End where one of the characters is raped by a well endowed demon and the whole audience laughed. I was literally silent as I found zero humor in the situation. Rape to me is NEVER funny. Rape jokes? I can laugh at those.

Also there is a scene in the film where a penis is cut clean off -- and again -- MORE hearty laughter.

Because it's sort of like a compliment. If a male receives sexual advances, he is deemed as attractive, powerful, and masculine if the female wants him. It's like a boy is becoming a desirable man.

Most are just baffled and/or try to rationalize reality to fit their own perspective. Oh, and the post is full of examples of sexual interactions in movies, some might be able to write a coherent TRP Theory post about how people flipping out most on the sexual scenes of movies if genders are reversed
