Ramblings of a 20 year old.
Harness and maximize the traits that are unavailable to women, children and lesser men.
Foresight: A developed man can see where he wants to be in 6 months and in a year as clearly as he can see his plans for tomorrow. A social-able man can observe the patterns of a conversation and predict its path. A tempered man can calculate all possible consequences before engaging in any worthwhile endeavor. Most people do not consider tomorrow because they live for today. While there is merit in enjoying the present, you were gifted with the ability to cognitively plan ahead of your perception of time, use it.
Sympathy: A girl gets jealous, a child throws a fit, a lesser man succumbs to anger, and a grown woman does all of the above. These are emotions for those with minimal self awareness. A man who has built his body and mind should know that he can only control his own actions, and therefore can only become angry at himself. That same man should also know that the anger only fuels self-hatred, and is a wasted effort. Thereby, the man learns to exhibit sympathy to those outside himself. Pity those lesser than you, and make no mistake that there are those who are less than you. Not all men are created equal, and not all men are meant to be equal. Do not give in to despair and anger when you observe how others act, and do not put yourself in a position where you can be negatively affected by their actions. Aristotle believed in his theory of Natural Slavery, which claims that some people naturally thrive in slavery. This sentiment still holds true today, where men, women and children willingly indoctrinate themselves into the culture and values of the workplace, the rat race and the education environment. A red man should not become frustrated with their lack of ambition or thoughtfulness, but rather should accept their shortcomings and move on.
Discipline: A man who can control himself is a man who controls the world around him. Others may impose their will upon him by force or by law, but he chooses to abide by these rules to accomplish his own goals unhindered. When he understands what he is truly capable of when he sets his mind to a task, the possibilities that present themselves outnumber the time he has to attempt them. Such a man must discipline his will, for an overambitious mind is as treacherous as an unambitious one. He must realize that his time is his single most valuable asset, and that it is irreversibly diminished with each day. With this new perspective, he sets himself to the tasks that he deems most important and that can be realistically accomplished within the time-frame of his life. This is not to say that an ambitious man is a foolish one, but rather an ambitious man should know what is most important to him before he begins new endeavors without finishing others.
Respect: A woman cannot respect a man inherently because she does not respect herself. A child can admire a man and fear a man, but cannot respect a man because the child does not fully understand the nature of respect. Fellow men may choose not to respect other men, or may be unable to because they are lesser men. A developed man should respect all fellow accomplished men regardless of their conflicting natures precisely because of their natures. Men who know real men should take comfort in that they have found a beacon in the dark sea of civilization. Engage, debate, argue, but always show respect towards the true men you encounter because they are a rarity more precious than gold.
Independence: Should a man rely on the well-being of others, that man should not expect anything besides disappointment. A young man, such as myself, who is still developing but is not yet fully independent, is not a full man yet. Cultivating independence is the most important thing a man can do to maintain and improve his accomplishments and goals. To leave the household in a state of dependence in search of a partner to continue that dependence is a sad state for a man, and an inclination to place weight in Aristotle's discussions of Natural Slavery. What man seeks another but a man who cannot find himself?
Freedom: A mans' freedom is the catalyst for which he creates it within others. Should a man decide that he will not be subjugated to the whims and the opinions and the threats of those around him, he has left the flock never to return. This black sheep, this outcast, is not welcome among the herd and is a threat to their way of life. This freed man should tread carefully, for although he is free, he is in everlasting danger. As long as he displays his freedom and his happiness, others who cannot fathom how that man came to be will seek to destroy what they do not understand. This man must learn to protect himself, his freedom, and all that it has brought to him in his good fortune. A man must protect what he has earned, and freedom is earned just like any other accomplishment that he has earned through discipline and willpower.
I know trp is primarily about sexual strategy, but I enjoy the philosophical and analytical posts that can be found on this sub. I do believe there is more to the development of a man besides sex, in that there are more noble pursuits to be pursued with one's limited time, but I do not wish to conflict with the message of this sub. All of these points contribute to the development of a better man, and thus a better candidate for women. While I often find myself leaning towards a MGTOW mindset in that I see the pursuit of women now as time that could be better spent, I do still enjoy the company of women who enjoy my company as well. Good luck to everyone who have decided to improve themselves in mind, body and spirit. You have begun that which can never be completed, and no man should wish it to be done.
