There is so much ambiguity I can see how you think this way, there are two major schools of thought

everyone was telling the truth and you just got it wrong, so let's redefine what everyone meant. Mark does this , and I disagree with him, being vulnerability means being open to attack, you should never be vulnerable.

The second school of thought is everyone is redefining reality to fit their narrative. What women find attractive is someone who is comfortable about things that should be viewed as a weakness. You wearing who you are , your "flaws" as your Armour , you are opening yourself up to judgement but handling it gracefully.

Being yourself and showing people how you feel makes women feel vulnerable as they are open to judgement and ridicule. So women respect a man who is open and honest and being his true self.

Telling her , "I'm going though a hard time and need your help" and leaning on her for emotional support is the correct way to interrupt being vulnerable however this isn't what women want.

Telling her, "I got family issues to take care of first, people I love are sick and I care for them deeply, I won't be around much because of this"

This is what women mean by expression your emotion and being vulnerable , which is vulnerable at all, expression your emotions

This is when I need her the most.

Yeah this is vulnerable, the real vulnerable which isn't attractive at all, if the situations arises again let her know how you feel and own it, your family comes first, and you come first(Don't actually say this ) , just let her know you will be busy taking care of family. She will probably offer to help and try to get your attention by being kind and agreeable
