On Saturday evening on British TV ran an episode of the show, Doctor Who. This show, is a science fiction drama that shows pedestalizing, hero-syndrome and rarely, masculinity/DT.

Anyway, onto the point. The episode featured, a speech in which the 'Doctor' asserts control of the situation despite being at a disadvantage, entertains with a bit of Amused Mastery before sweeping the floor with the villian using all three facets of the DT triangle.

Even when the 'Doctor' is apparently showing compassion and empathy you can clearly see that he is in complete control of the situation and that she was always at a disadvantage.
