One of the hallmarks of being Red Pill is being completely independent. But how do we actually get there?

In LTRs, because of our emotional nature as men (unconditional masculine love vs. conditional female love), we are not able to walk away so easily. Blue pill mentality kicks in, and we become subordinate to the whims of our partners.

Through highly intense and long lasting pain from a relationship I went through, I have come out the other end immensely stronger. I've realized that there is absolutely no one in this world who is going to take care of you than yourself. And as much as we love our family and friends, even they will not always be there for you. My ex-girlfriend complained to a mutual friend of ours that I was "insecure" when all I wanted to do was spend time with her, and tell her about my stresses. During this period, my ex barely made any effort to spend time with me until I started spending time outside of our relationship, and that's when I realized that women are completely turned off by weakness. That was the moment I knew I could never rely on any girlfriend for emotional support. They simply do not give a shit. They want someone strong, and the only way for that to happen is by going through some pain, and that's why we swallow the pill; we wake up to the shit storm that is reality.

For some reason, some individuals think that being independent in this manner is a bad thing. But this kind of thinking comes from being taught that we can trust women to be good, caring, and supportive. And they are, but only when you don't need them.

I've painfully swallowed the pill....I had to endure a long and difficult year with an emotionally unavailable woman (now ex). She was completely broken, and essentially put me through hell. However, the pain and suffering was THE BEST thing I could ever have gone through. It made me strong by learning how to rely on myself by psychologically nurturing my inner child, accepting myself fully, realizing my power to change the world around me and accepting responsibility for myself in every manner.

My self-esteem rose as a result, and there is self-love radiating within me at all times. I am my own parent now, and good parents fiercely protect their children, feed them, consolidate them, and provide emotional safety and support. This system gives us the power to go through life without putting up walls, it generates extroverted energy, and gives us the ability to exude our Alpha status. In essence, it makes walking away that much easier...even in LTRs. No gimmicks. No pretending. No having to put forth mental effort into playing games. It's all natural.

Even if you're married, you cannot put your happiness into the hands of another person. I've been on the other end of neediness; an ex-girlfriend of mine did not have a life of her own, and was constantly available to me. This was a huge turnoff. If you're in a relationship and your partner is losing interest in you, it might seem scary to focus less on your relationship and more of yourself, but just remember:

If she's pulling away because of neediness, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. You can guarantee her attraction for you by simply doing the opposite, which is focusing on YOU. Lift, join a martial arts class, pick up a new skill, and if you're not into infidelity, exert your pre-selection options to your significant other by talking with other attractive female friends.

Moral of the story: This is a shit world filled with extra shit filling, and part of being Red Pill is realizing that no one will ever be there for you in the end except yourself. This isn't a sad truth, it's not a happy truth...it's simply the truth.

Don't be afraid to focus on you. It's THE BEST THING you can do for your relationship.
