That blog vastly overstates the case.

It’s true that we don’t have "dating" as in wasting time and money taking a girl out to "get to know her".

Most connections are made either in the context of going out on the town and getting drunk, meeting through friends or work, or online dating.

i think the article fails to highlight why marriage isnt a big deal in scandinavia.

in the US, marriage is a financial insurance for the less well-off partner, which gets paid out at divorce.

now in scandinavia, the maintenance payments after divorce are negligible. Mostly none are paid to the spouse, and only little for the children. There is no financial incentive to divorce, hence no financial incentive to marry to begin with.

Section 12. Maintenance of article Divorce law in Sweden:

There are two forms of maintenance - spouse maintenance and maintenance for children.

The fundamental idea is that divorce effectively severs all forms of economic relations between spouses. Each spouse is therefore individually responsible for his or her own financial support after divorce. Maintenance is seldom granted except in certain circumstances. It must be shown that the spouse is financially needy and that the marriage has resulted in the need for maintenance.

Maintenance is given when a spouse has difficulty in supporting himself or herself for a transitional period following the divorce. Such transitional maintenance provides the needy spouse with opportunities to seek gainful employment or retraining. This helps me understand why I a consider myself a redpiller yet I am somehow not as anti-marriage as most folks around here. I am a Hungarian living in Austria. In Hungarian law, only property acquired after marriage is divided, previous property not, no maintenance for the spouse and 20% of actual, not imputed income per child, up to 2. Not sure about Austrian law but must be similar because both countries tend to borrow laws from Germany mostly.

Having said that I must say I have seen male divorcees end up as homeless, alcoholic hobos. The story was largely that the woman kept the kid, thus the apartment or house, and she owed half of the value in cash, and then it got complicated. Maybe, paying in monthly installments so basically paying back the child support or dunno.

ok I haven't been there those tactics are way too passive, don't ask strangers out, don't flirt, don't go to a restaurant with a stranger, wait for the female to approach. You will have zero success if you tried that anywhere else. Those countries are also super feminist.

Notice advice #9. It is not possible to have a LTR with a Scandinavian girl, she will cheat on you.

The advice for hooking up in Scandinavia is either meet them on vacation resorts or pick them up in the horrible night clubs. Super aggressive asshole attitude is the only way to go. Push the limits as much as you can and you will be rewarded.
