As for the Pareto principle and your original question i believe you answered it yourself, if microcosms exist where the ratio can be significantly skewed by particular factors then the ratio is potentially mailable to some extent.

Answer: yes. In a world that is trending toward increasing automation at the top and decreasing wages at the bottom, the gap between the men at the top and the men in the bottom 80% is only going to grow larger for the foreseeable future.

If a significant chunk of men would have gone MGTOW 100 years ago, it would have been noticed. In the world of 2025 where non-alpha men are easily replaced by alpha penises and robotic employees...well, it'll be awhile before anyone cares. An occasional far-sighted feminist might notice things aren't right on the margins, but most won't give a fuck.

I hear this question brought up often, but it might not make any difference. Average productivity per worker* has skyrocketed since the early 70's (Source), and the increasing trends in automation will likely keep it that way. If there's half as many workers but the average worker is twice as productive, there's no difference.

ELI5 version: if the beta males all take their ball and go home, it's likely that we'll replace them with robots.

*In the U.S. at least. Europe is probably similar but I couldn't find a source.

I've been thinking a lot about this: I expect that in time there must be something to rebalance the scales. Right now the marketplace is heavily incentivizing the girl lifestyle of partying through her 20s and marrying in her 30s. We're already seeing blowback in the form of MGTOWs, dropouts, etc. I'm not convinced that these trends in their current form are enough to turn the tide, but women are taking notice, even if it's in small doses.

It makes more sense to me that something else will have to happen to contribute to balancing things back out. I believe it has not yet come to pass.

The problem with something like the Pareto principle, is that it only works once you take away influences from outside. The reason why NYC might have different stats (I don't know if NYC actually has them but I'll just assume for the ease of answering this question) is that there is a large influx of girls looking for alpha fux.

If one were to shut the borders of NYC and reopen them after a hundred years, it is likely that stats have resettled to around 80/20 (assuming that this would be the natural state of hypergamy).
