Ok so I got into it with the mod of this sub, I could not really understand what he told me in PM because he seems to be french-canadian and i'm european, so english is neither of our's first language. But the exchange and overall lately has made it clear that there are fault lines to TRP. I'd just like to contribute some perspective.
1.An ego alpha can allways disrupt an altruistic group
When we talk about how to behave and what is optimal, we put on the one-size-fits-all cap. So a common discussion is wether or not its ok to party beyond your 20's, and then the answer is either/or. Guess what, science tells us whatever IS BEST FOR YOU, do that. [Evolution by selection tends to work not even on the basis of individuals, it can work on sub-groupings within individuals, i.e a small portion of your genetics.] (https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/whats-good-for-the-group/) . So from a purely biological standpoint, be egoistic.
2. Group dynamics and social behaviour are evolved as well
Did you know termites have suicide bombers that protect the colony? Birds cooperate for food to increase the total share of kCals? Rudimentary organisms of this world share with us some very advanced social behaviours, which should make us think twice about how complex we really are. There are however, massive benefits to social behaviour once you couple a giant brain like ours to social behaviours that less intelligent species can't immitate. Another common argument on here is wether or not solitude is OK/Alpha/Deplorable. What biology tells us is, all strategies work, but you have to make them work!
3. X-characteristic is the most important
This pertains to "Are you lifting?". Now, I agree that lifting is mandatory, but because it is such a commonly accepted dictate, it has taken on a mythical meaning. There are people out there who fuck more in a week than you do all year ( and that is OK) and they have never lifted a weight in their life. What matters is your total SMV. Should lifting be accorded a higher proportion of value than income/genetics/social status/etc ? Honestly, biology tells us no. There are countless studies of women during ovulation that say a woman is looking for more masculine features at certain points of her menstrual cycle, but my god, if anything TRP has taught us it is TO NEVER LISTEN TO WHAT A WOMAN SAYS, LOOK AT HER BEHAVIOUR . Lifting is convenient, anybody can (and should) do it. But not everybody can improve their social circle like their athletic ability, and so it makes for a shitty internet-point-accumulating-argument. However, I have seen more dudes pull bitches with social status than with brawn. Most likely, YOUR ONEITIS AT THIS VERY FUCKING MOMENT is looking for "that grungy lone-wolf" or that "popular Chad", etc etc. Social status is variable and a lot more tangible than muscle since muscle builds at a few LBS/year, yet social status is immediately visible and palpable. Again, Biology tells us that multiple strategies are viable and YOU should look to what immediate improvements are available to YOU.
Lessons learned:
Individualize the tips you are getting on this sub, don't be a one-size-fits-all retard.
