The short answer is: Yes, you're wrong. Learn to take a joke.

The longer answer is that yes, you're wrong, and you should learn to take a joke. Here's why. It makes you look like an insecure person. That's not Alpha. There's no charm, confidence, or charisma in someone who reacts so swiftly.

Part of life is knowing how to appropriately respond to threats of varying degrees. If went in to your child's room and saw a strange man climbing in the window on your sleeping child, would you react swiftly or stand there and watch for a few minutes? Unless you're a pedo with a cuckold fetish, you'd likely be kicking that guy's teeth in before you had time to think about it.

You react to real, high danger threats swiftly. When you react to even the slightest provocation (jokes) with the same swiftness it gives the vibe that you're the kind of person who is equally threatened by a joke between friend as you are a real physical assault.

When a woman shit tests you because she's trying to see if you'd make a good mate/fuck, she's seeing if you are confident in yourself, among other things. Men also do a kind of shit test, I believe the term is acid-test, where they are also trying to make sure you're masculine enough. Not for the same reason, but they're making sure you're sturdy enough to be in the tribe.

You don't have to be a total hardass, but you need to not be weak and skittery enough to get your hunting party killed. Remember that most of these social cues and traits that we look for were bred into us back before everyone spent more time on their iPhone's and sitting at a cubicle than they did hunting and gathering.

The best way to show confidence in yourself, and thereby exhibit that at your core you are an Alpha and not just pretending to be one, is to not sweat the small shit. It doesn't matter to you. It's irrelevant. You've got better shit to do than to let what someone else says or does affect you or change the way you act or react. That's called holding your frame.

Some of my posts can be a bit long-winded but I make it a point to not comment in every thread and even when I do it's only when I feel I have something to contribute or to thank someone else. From the simplicity of your question, I get the vibe you're even more new here than I am so I summed up some things for you.

However, the best advice I can give you is to read the sidebar. All of it. Read some posts. Read the sidebar again. Absorb and digest the information. Most of your answers will be there, and you'll have a better understanding.
