I have been gearing up to "get back out there" after a low point of several set-backs in my life. I have been soaking up a lot of information, tips, and thoughts from the community. I wanted to record some of my thoughts on what works or doesn't work.
This isn't a brag post about how I got tons of tail this weekend, just some observations.
- Take yourself out of your comfort zone.
I've been making a point to break up my routine and it makes a big difference. I went to a town about 20 minutes away from my own to pick up some specialty clothing, and I decide to just explore. I went into a coffee shop (I hate coffee) and just started talking to a very attractive girl at the counter. It felt very simple and stress free to be in a new environment. Sometimes if you go to the same bars, clubs, and spots you feel a lot of mental baggage that can throw you off. Also, hit on girls during the day. It's more relaxed and opens up a lot of choices.
Force yourself to go out if you need to. Don't make excuses sitting on TRP or reading about game. Go out and interact.
- The chase is better than the catch.
I started talking to the coffee shop female with some humor and I kept in mind that the objective wasn't to get a date, but to have an engaging conversation. I had this girl eating out of my hand. I could have closed at any point and set up a date but I wasn't interested. I asked if she comes to this coffee shop often, and I could see her just waiting for me to ask for her number. However, she was an artist type who had already hit the wall at 30, and wasn't really my type. So, I told her I had to leave and just took the experience for what it was. Not all meetings have to be about getting phone numbers, or setting up something in the future. Take the emotional boost and move on.
- Don't flake on your friends for red flag females.
I met another girl about 20 min later from the last one. She was younger and a lot more "edgy", shall we say. She had a chip on her shoulder right when I started talking to her, but I kept my tone happy and tried to stay neutral. She started babbling about how her friend had been fired (Not my problem or hers really) and apologized for being rude. I put up a quick red flag, and asked her if she was going to a show that I planned to attend with my friends that night in the same town. She said yes, and I told her that maybe she should bring her friend along for a good time.
Later that night when my friends and I were planning to go to the show, they asked if I wanted to ride on my own, in case the girl wanted to come back with me. I thought about it.. and because of the red flag from earlier I realized that I should really focus on having fun with my friends, and not some piece of ass I had just met. The chance of this girl flaking out, being a bitch, or not being interested was pretty high in my mind so I planned for it.
Good thing too, as when I finally got around to talking to her that night at the club she was a total cunt. I won't go into details, as they aren't important. I played it off pretty quickly, walked away, and went back to my friends. I called a booty call for later and got mine. No harm no foul.
Point being: Crazy may have a nice ass and legs to go with, but crazy is also crazy. If she is that unfocused and moody, have a back-up plan in place. Focus on yourself and your friends. Don't plan your whole night around a female who probably doesn't even remember her middle name half the time.
Thanks for reading. Hope it's helpful to some.
