This is my second post (my first post on TRP) and I'm starting to notice a few things in my friend group. For one, after a recent breakup with a toxic LTR I began to find out who I'm really am. Throughout the last few months I've been investing more time into myself. That included working out for about 5x out of the week, no more partying, more reading, etc. However, upon being a lurker here I've noticed a lot of BP tendencies in my friend group.

I should state that I wasn't always a believer in the RP. In fact you could make a strong case that I was the beta out of all of my friends. Until recently, my life has seen drastic change in ways I never expected them to be. As a result of this change, I started to see my hard work get paid off and success started coming my way.

Now here's where the meat of the story is: I feel as if I'm growing apart my childhood friends because of my newfound "liberation". My friends and I are all around 20. They are my childhood friends. Like many others I thought they were ready for the RP but most of them declined. They stated I was very pessimistic on women and they even implied that I'm full of myself. While this does not bother me I can see that the friends I have are not welcoming the new me.

I honestly don't care about being alone but these guys have seen me at my lowest point. Maybe me branching off is a good thing. Maybe it can even be avoided. As of now, only time will tell.

TL;DR: After a breakup I see myself branching apart from my BP friends.
