Each situation is different. But for the most part, first impressions are very important as they set up the initial frame. So do whatever you think will create the most value with your current skill sets.

Depends on the setting and situation. And what's with this "you like" bullshit, we're not in highschool. She'll smell your emotions radiating off you and seek to mentally fuck you up. You need to approach all women with a non-nonchalant do-not-care attitude. It's inner game, once you stop focusing on the girl validating you then things go much better.

As for the advice, yes that's the initial stage of seduction when your establishing frame. When you first meet someone there will be a sizing up period where you each make deductions about the other and then using those deductions you create a subconscious set of rules. That is what is known as frame and we establish one with every person we interact with every day. You buying a soda from a store has the frame of you being the customer and the cashier being the server. In that same way you meeting / opening a girl requires a frame and as the male you establish it by using those subconscious signals.
