(If you don't feel like reading you can watch the video here)
You see Gary vee hustling 24/7 and probably wonder how he does it, how is it possible for someone like you to always stay motivated even when things go horribly wrong?
Well, the truth is that he isn't always motivated... shocking right?
As a matter of fact, there is not a single person on this planet that wakes up every single day super motivated, there are going to be days where even Gary vee doesn't feel like getting out of bed... The difference however, between high achievers and those who never amount to much, is that the high achievers don't rely on motivation to get things done.
They rely on discipline.
You see, the problem with only working while you're motivated is that you'll have periods where youdevelop a lot of work but also periods where you just sit on your ass procrastinating.
However if you reply on discipline, you will still have those periods of high productivity, but when the motivation eventually takes a down turn you will still do what needs to be done. At the end of the day that's what distinguishes the winners from everyone else.
And if you are not disciplined right now, don't worry, your life is not ruined. As a matter of fact, a few years ago I was probably the most undisciplined person you could ever encounter. None of my businesses ever led anywhere because as soon as I had a day where I was not motivated I would simply sit around procrastinating.
Despite that I commited to increase my disciplined, and slowly but surely I started to get more and more done, up to the point where right now I work almost the same when Im not motivated as when I'm motivated.
One last thing is to start sow and build your way to it. Rome wasn't built in a day and so won't your discipline, so be patient.
I also did a video on this that you can watch here
