Shit Test? Sometimes.

Most importantly.. Take the damn compliment like a man. None of that self-doubting bullshit like a woman would respond: i.e. "really?" "you think so?" "no i don't, i look fat!"
Don't return the compliment in the same fashion. It's weak. She says "you're so sexy". Don't say "so are you". It's fake and thoughtless.
When in doubt, follow the Han Solo rule. "I know". You are not surprised by her compliment, it is not a big deal, it is not unexpected or new, or out of character. You already know what she is telling you. Show it.
Along the same lines are #3, no need to brag about it. Since it is nothing new to your ears or nothing you didn't already know, be nonchalant about it. Appreciate the compliment, but don't linger on it, don't take it as validation for yourself.. you validate yourself, not her.

You could say "thank you", but with a bit of a smug "I know that already" tone.

Probably the best way is to say exactly that - "I know" but in the cocky-arrogant-funny way. Sly smirk, etc. It's no joke that chicks love that shit because it's basically a signal that you're a confident motherfucker.
