Intelligence have nothing to do with your story.

The key is Fame, you was famous in your school circle, and some girls wanted to bang you.

You could as well have made a cabaret show instead of an intelligent lecture, or you could have singed a song, or you could have danced.

What she was attracted to was status and authority, not intelligence. By confidently owning the presentation, you put yourself above all the other students and displayed it in a manly fashion.

Also it could be a complete coincidence. She had you on her radar for a little while and decided it was a good time to invite you to her party.

But yeah, intelligence is not a deterrent. You should never dumb yourself down. It can be indirectly attractive, the key is context. If you're in a cerebral environment, where people compete with their intelligence, and therefore your smarts make you higher ranked in the social hierarchy, it will be attractive. On the other hand, being the only person with a 140 IQ in a club will not get you laid.
